Re: Power conditioning stuff.....

Is there such a thing as an 8 plug PLC Thingee? Or is the least expensive option for more than 6 plugs a GIPCO? Maybe the option is a 6 plug PLC Thingee AND a 4 plug PLC Thingee? In that case would it be possible to get a really short (6") power cord to run from the one Thingee to the other? I'm st...

sgcsg1 These two plug in modules are not what you are different than what you are looking for. These are X0e and X1e plug in module for adding the filter onto an existing unit. If you already have a PLC Thingee 4 outlet and want to add more outlet and the X0e, what you said is the best way. Get a F...

Interesting. But confusing. I'm thinking I'd like to buy one of these Peed Al Sea Thingee FX2 with X0e low frequency filter modules. Or to use its simpler name the FX2 XOe 6 plugs. That's a mouthful either way. What short cord can I run from one of the 6 outlets on the FX2 X0e to power my existing 4...

Fon Lo Thingee - two configurations

1) You can get a FLT-IAB and put a biggie pipe power supply on it. Cost is just under $1100.

2) You can get a base fon lo thingee and add the Really Big Pipe power supply. Cost is just under $1100.

Any comments on which might be the better way to go?

I'm using my SBH as a pre-amp and think it's quite spectacular in that function.

A very interesting product. But you need a moderately priced amp to partner it with. Perhaps a GDC without the pre-amp? As the owner of an SBH I've wondered what it would sound like run thru a GDC based amp.

Nice review. As an SBH owner I'd say he's pretty much spot on.

I only wish his comments about BC being a 'factory direct' operation were true.

I like the Monitor Audio RX series. At 90db efficiency I would think they'd be a good match. The RX6 looks to be the sweet spot in the line.

Pre-amp Sound Quality question between SBP and HPT

I would think that the outboard power supply in the HPT would give it an edge over the SBP when used as a pre-amp.

Any comments?

PVC Power amp?

I really like what Gilbert has with the 'pipe gear' to keep prices down. My last BC purchase was a headphone amp with a big 'pipe power supply'. I don't suppose this PVC solution would work that well with power amps. You've got the transformer to consider and it gets hot, etc. Too bad. A little 'des...

Nice review, thanks for posting. The pipe gear is so unconventional it's nice to have a video of it that gives you a good look at it.

I've had a custom cross between a HPT and the SBH for about 4 months now. I do all my serious listening on it, it's an amazing setup.

Blue Circle thread at head-fi

The headfi.org people are fond of BC headamps so I posted some comments (and pics) for them of my new SBH.
