Really? I've heard GMA speakers on more than a handful of occassions, and they are among the most coherent speakers I've ever heard, with tremendous driver integration and midrange smoothness.

Phil,

I couldn't agree more, and in terms of conventional dynamic speakers I would have to say that GMA are among the best, but it's hard to beat a really good panel for those two qualities (smooth mids and driver integration). And please understand, I'm talking in terms of degrees here. It's not like the Calypso has bad midrange and the drivers do not integrate well. The Calypso is a very together speaker and a blast to listen to. It's just that Dave asked about how the speakers compare with an ML, and the Prodigy is the closest thing price-wise that I am familiar with. The Prodigy is a he** of a speaker in it's own right.

Well, lets see if they sell first ;)

If they do, I'll just be moving the Green Mountain Audio Calypsos in.
