The BC21.1 may look just like a BC21 on the outside but looks can be deceiving. Some major renovations have taken place under the cover.
....under the cover.
The BC21.1 employs 6922 tubes rather than the 6SN7s used in the BC21. The 6922 is the same tube used in our BC3, BC3000 and AG3000 preamplifiers.
The 6922 brings the advantage of superior reliability, more linearity, reduced noise and tube microphonics. The tube mounting technique is the same "silicone bubble" that we employ in our AG3000 preamplifier.
The circuit has been redesigned and now more closely resembles the circuit topology of the BC3 / AG3000 preamps than it does the original BC21 design.
The BC21.1 is trully amazing. It has made over 90% of my CD's listenable again. The best compliment I can give it is that it has returned "emotion" to the music I like. I am so glad I made the jump to tubes and Blue Circle. Wow...Goose bumps all the way!!"

"The BC21.1 is nothing short of remarkable. It's been over twenty five years since I owned a tubed preamplifier (Marantz 7C). Apparently, I've been missing a great deal of music.
The BC21.1 replaces an Adcom GFP750, a highly regarded if somewhat controversial
preamplifier. Right out of the box, the BC21.1's sonic advantages were not subtle,
they were quite dramatic. All the attributes of a fine system came to life: Stage
breadth and depth, bloom, continuousness (as they say at TAS), image stability, particularly
If this first impression is even just a preview of the sound quality I can expect
once the BC21.1 is properly broken-
