The new BC22 refinements include:
* rear panel ground lift switch
* improvements to the internal wiring
* redesigned power supply
* stainless steel chassis

In answer to the three most obvious questions:

1/   Yes. The BC22 MKII replaces the BC22 in the product lineup.

2/   Yes.  Existing BC22s can be upgraded* (except for the stainless chassis part.)

3/    No.  The MKII will not cost more than the original BC22.  We made it better...not more expensive.

• The simplicity of design that Blue Circle is known for has been maintained. As a result of intensive engineering, we were able to limit the number of components in the signal path.
• The power supply can best be described as serious overkill. It is built around a custom designed and manufactured toroid power transformer. Filtering is nothing short of massive. As usual this is accomplished by employing multiple networks of small value capacitors. This technique reduces dc resistance, lowers inductance, and therefore improves transient response.
• Connecting hardware and signal path wiring is by Cardas®.
